⁴Though they have officials in Zoan^(A)
    and their envoys have arrived in Hanes,
⁵everyone will be put to shame
    because of a people^(B) useless^(C) to them,
who bring neither help^(D) nor advantage,
    but only shame and disgrace.^(E)”

    of lions^(I) and lionesses,
    of adders and darting snakes,^(J)
